Gray Bar Web Developer Program

A Web Developer designs and builds Web pages, develops user interfaces, and contributes to the design team's efforts to enhance the look and feel of an organization's Web presence. Web Developers are highly skilled in Web page development but are not required to administer or program Web sites. Upon completion the basic certificate program provides a thorough grounding in Web-based technologies and detailed knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Web-based graphics. Upon completion the advanced certificate program provides expertise in cutting-edge Web technologies including PHP, security, and commerce together with additional skills in efficient Web site management.

Webmaster Program

Webmasters are responsible for maintaining existing Web sites. Further, they are often called upon to develop new Web sites. Webmasters have responsibility for the installation, configuration, and integration of major software components, and are often charged with the maintenance of site security. The Webmaster must also be comfortable working in several different operating systems. Upon completion this advanced certificate program provides a solid understanding of Web-based technologies, a detailed knowledge of both static and dynamic Web page design, operating system practice, and server configuration.

Web Programmer Program

The Web Programmer designs, builds, and maintains CGI and related software programs for a Web site. Programmers work on design teams to develop the site concept, interface design, and site architecture and are directly responsible for software components which collect and distribute viewer information of a Web site. The Web Programmer will be called upon to work with a site administrator on various server components, to develop Web applications in the Perl and/or Java programming languages. Upon successful completion this advanced certificate program the novice and experienced programmer will possess a thorough knowledge of a Web-based programming language together with experience developing practical CGI and system administration applications.
